In last few years R.H. Smith Distributing deployed new technology and IT systems to support a growth management and business development needs and plans based on "extreme technology makeover". The Company implemented an intelligent business concept, and developed a company-wide integrated IT infrastructure, including an advanced networking through LAN, WAN, and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
R.H. Smith Dist. team pioneered an integrated approach customized for middle size distributing companies of the petroleum industry. Team was lead by Ljubomir "LJ" Medenica, MBA, an internationally skilled management consultant, employed in R.H. Smith Dist. Co., Inc. in the Year 2002 as Director of Business Development and CIO.
The Company was invited to present implemented projects and achieved results in several major industry related conferences: from SIGMA Spring Convention 2004 and NACSTech 2005, to Gilbarco Customer Forum, Pinnacle Summit 2007, and SIGMA Best Practices Share Group 2007
